FEATURING:
MIKE SMITH as WHITE NOISE MACHINE
Mike Smith is a Toronto-based poet, performer, and journalist. Under the name of the White Noise Machine, he has performed punk-rock poetry and stand-up surrealism from coast to coast, and represented his city at four Canadian Festivals of Spoken Word, one National Poetry Slam (US), and two Rustbelt slams. He is City Hall columnist for NOW Magazine. He loves you just the way you are.
KEN GREEN
Ken Green is a sometimes-poet who has occasionally been permitted to transport his words over state lines and international boundaries. Though he works as a graphic artist for a government agency in Chicago, Illinois, he has somehow managed to worm his way onto several Chicago poetry slam teams and read his words on stages in London, Austin, Seattle, New York City and sometimes even his home city, as well as had his work actually printed into books. Ken considers his poems to be carefully arranged insights into the human condition. Other have described it using less graceful words. He has written two plays that have been performed on stage (a David Mamet version of the “Wizard of Oz” and a Purim play for a gay synagogue…go figure). Ken also thinks that the poetry audiences in Toronto are the greatest audiences in the world.”
