LARA BOZABALIAN and NORMAN ALLAN

LARA BOZABALIAN

Lara Bozabalian is the author of a bestselling collection of poetry, entitled The Cartographer’s Skin.

Her poem ‘Beethoven Walks‘ was longlisted for the 2011 Montreal International Poetry Prize, and ‘Crowd The Schoolhouse‘ (a short documentary she wrote and narrated for Made In Toronto Productions, based upon her poem of the same name) was a finalist in the 2012 Hot Docs International Documentary Challenge, and won for Best Writing and Best Use of Genre.

Last year she was a featured speaker at TEDx and theSingapore Writers Festival.

She is a founding member of The Toronto Poetry Project, and the founder of Be Heard: A Festival of Student Voices that brings youth writers together with internationally acclaimed poets.

This will be Lara’s third feature at Hot-Sauced Words. Welcome back!

NORMAN ALLAN

Norman Allan has been around long enough to write a score or so of awesome poems,

but mostly he wants to say go and look at his art work (on his website, or better, buy some)

and if anything physical is ailing you see him for alternative medicine.

This is Norman’s first Hot-Sauced Words feature.
